Important Message

It has been well over a year since I began my internet adventure posting several threads of information on several different blogs. The time and energy spent has been terrific and I can no longer keep up the pace.

I can't continue to update this blog simply because I don't have the time working two other jobs and trying to have time with my family as well. Publishing a post once a week just is not enough to keep people coming back for more.

If you have enjoyed this information please "Jump into the Fast Lane" and check out Anarchist World. This same information will be there and it will be updated every two days! This is better service and offers more content as well. I can do this through future posting on wordpress blogs. This blog does not support future posting.

By posting in only one location I figure I can free up 75% more available time. That is a considerable amount of time and effort saved. This cost has been so high because I have been trying to maintain over 100 blogs in an effort to find and attract new readers. I will be dropping down to only those you see on Anarchist World.

Meaning- entrapment

He is generating a full supply of emotional energy and absorbing all of her excess emotional energy. As it combines with his energy he gains the ability to astral project and have astral adventures. He is able to sustain an astral body at will.

He has the ability to do dream work. This means that during his dreams he is able to alter the outcome. His dreams represent his potential future and by altering these dreams he is able to alter his future. He takes an active role in trying to astrally contact the girl he is interested in and gets more of her emotional energy. As he does this he alters the astral events she has created into events that are more to his liking. They are not working together.

She is trying to astrally draw her ideal mate to her. Her ideal mate is a lot like her and they have many things in common. Her friend is trying to destroy this future and draw her to himself instead. They are in conflict about what they are trying to accomplish.

As these astral events progress she finds the man of her dreams and falls in love but her old friend ruins the relationship for her. If not in the physical world he is trying to change it in the astral world.

She has already created the future she wants and is trapped within the very thing she has created. It has become a part of the collective and she no longer has the ability to alter it. She can't defend the future she has created and watches helplessly as her dreams fall apart into ruins through his alterations.

He knows she is the perfect person for him. She is everything that he is not. She is his soulmate, his missing half. He will do anything, fight anyone to win her love. He is frustrated with her refusal of him and his desire drives him to try pressuring her into a relationship. He won't take anything else for an answer. She is beginning to feel afraid. She has no desire to have a deeper relationship with him but the shear force of his personality is impossible to resist. He is too powerful for her and he drives off the one she really loves.

She feels herself sucked into this nightmare relationship helplessly against her will. She is completely at his mercy.

Male experience:

She is the perfect one for him and he will convince her of it no matter how hard she resists. Sooner or later she must realize they are meant to be together. He absorbs all of her excess emotional energy and his dreams become vivid and realistic. He has dreams about her with another man and he fights this man in astral battles to win her back.

He is fighting back in his dreams and changes the outcome of them. Each time he confronts a problem in his dreams and defeats it he feels a gain in power. He is creating the type of life he wants to live by astrally fighting for it.

Female experience:

She has created the astral future she desires and it has become part of the collective. She is trapped within the version of her future that the collective gives her. She is forced to watch in horror as the dream life that she astrally created is torn apart piece by piece.

Instead of being drawn toward the one she loves she is helplessly enmeshed in a relationship with someone she doesn't love.

The Astral Planes merge downward and pour a blessing of love and light onto the initiate in a spiritual baptism. He or she is unable to contain the star within the body and it bursts forth in all of its glory. This is a realization of the Christ Spirit and marks the beginning of the higher initiation.

It signals a sprouting and rapid growth of the soul body. He is generating more emotional energy and it is difficult for him. He feels he is pouring out his entire soul in his effort to find the perfect woman. He is at the edge of his mind. His intellect has been telling him that he is wasting his time and will never find someone. In spite of his intellectual doubts he continues searching and searching, generously giving away his energy with no return. Just as he feels that he can give no more he has the incredible experience of absorbing some of her pure emotional energy. It is a spiritual baptism that surrounds him in waves of light and love. The energy he has given out has found a way back to him.

He might not realize the energy came from her. It could be that he believes it was a beautiful spiritual experience. In any case he wants more of those experiences and doesn't know how to get them.

This is known as the baptism of the Holy Spirit in some traditions and it triggers an intense desire to generate incredible amounts of emotional energy in the hopes of repeating it.

By this time she has absorbed enough of his emotional energy and used it to create the potential future she wants for herself and for him. To him this could mean he is doomed to a life of mediocrity like everyone else he knows. He has big plans and won't settle for less than the best of life.

She has no need of her excess emotional energy and freely gives it to him as pure emotional energy. He absorbs this energy from her for the first time and it is a very important time for him. At first he can't use this energy. It remains trapped in his physical body to be released at night as astral energy that develops his soul.

He uses this energy to open up emotional channels within his body. He learns to integrate this energy so it is not congested in the heart and solar plexus. Over time this energy works its way downward to become a fully activated astral body.

Male experience:

His ego is screaming that he is making a fool of himself. He has been giving and giving of his time and energy without getting anything in return. He has tried to hold himself to the high goal of finding the perfect woman but she doesn't seem to exist anywhere.

Just when he has given up in defeat he receives a burst of pure female emotional energy that envelops him in an aura of spiritual light and love. It is a spiritual experience and inspires him to generate more emotional love energy. This allows him to build up a permanent astral body.

Female experience:

She enjoys having him around because he gives her energy to help her through the day. She dreams of someday meeting the right person. She thinks about who would be right for her and who would be right for him. He is a nice person and he should have somebody nice too.

The time comes when she knows exactly the type of life she wants and the type of man she wants to share it with. She creates it in the astral as her potential future. Satisfied with that she gives the rest of her excess emotional energy freely away to him as pure emotional energy.

He is giving away emotional energy but she is taking it as fast as he can give it away. It seems that he isn't getting anywhere and is always emotionally drained. He feels conflict between love of her and love of self. It seems to him that giving is fine but at some point his efforts should be rewarded. He becomes more interested in having a serious relationship that has give and take. He is getting tired of giving all the time without getting anything back.

His logic and reason distort things. He doesn't understand why he can't find that perfect someone to complete his life. No one is returning energy back to him. He is attracted to women that have qualities he is lacking in. This is how he hopes to bring those things into his life. His supply of emotional energy is almost gone and he feels empty inside. He is looking for someone to fill that emptiness. He is trying to fulfill the male role and he wants someone to play the female role that is so important. It is frustrating when he finds out the type of woman he is attracted to is not attracted to him and doesn't return his attentions.

She absorbs his emotional energy as fast as he can give it away. She mixes it with her growing amount of emotional energy to form astral emotional energy. In her dreams and astral adventures she uses this astral energy to construct her potential future and his potential future.

This energy is deposited in the astral planes and combines to create a potential future that will be accepted by the collective. In doing this it alters to adapt to societal pressures. The potential future she has created merges with everything else and represents the collective will of humanity.

Areas of disagreement or conflicting interests combine and form compromise events. Once an event has reached this level of the astral it is very difficult for the male to alter because he is pitting his will against the collective will of society. At this point she enjoys comfort and security in a relationship and would like to get involved with someone that shares her likes and interests. Although she is absorbing his energy and likes him as a friend, he is not the type of person she would ever get serious with. They are too different!

He is friendly to everyone and radiating energy and enthusiasm. He is fun to be around but it is getting old because he is not getting anything in return. One person can't absorb all of the energy he is giving away and he enters a very social period in his life. He is intensely curious about women and wishes to experience all they have to offer. Here the old fruit and seed are given to the earth in total sacrifice. The Magical planes merge together and embrace the seed in death. The seed is planted for an intended future growth.

This death marks the beginning of the eighth degree initiation and the end of the crucifixion. The initiate gives all freely and without thought of reward.

Out of the barrenness of his life spring comes. He knows he is capable of having a serious love relationship. All he needs is to find the right person. He feels vibrant and alive. He knows the perfect person exists and he knows he will find her even if it takes forever. He is mentally and emotionally prepared for a serious relationship.

He is sexually frustrated and feels anger and resentment when he can't find the right person. It seems she is always just out of reach like the mythical Holy Grail.

She has a strong awareness of her physical environment and what is going on around her. Still she is often prevented from doing what she wants through a lack of energy or decadent state where she would rather live with what she has than put out the effort to get something else. The Suit of Cups

The Suit of Cups is about emotional energy and the emotional dynamics within relationships. There are the higher emotions of love, joy and pride as well as the lower emotions of lust, anger, hatred and fear.

Emotions are not controlable. We can not control how we feel but we can control our physical actions. In like manner it is not right to feel guilty about our emotions. Right or wrong our emotions bring richness into our lives.

Relationships are largely about emotions and they will spark every emotion we have at some point. It is important to feel our emotions deeply and learn to understand them. It is also important to not let emotions dominate our life and our actions. Emotions are like sensory inputs that give us information. They have no reasoning ability and should not be used to make decisions.

The Tarot cards can not begin to describe the richness of all the possible emotions within relationships but we can generalize on the emotions of love and romance.

Ten of Swords

symbol- He must search for the perfect girl. She realizes she is desireable.

Meaning- realization

He decides to date one of his platonic girl friends. It seems kind of strange at first because he doesn't want to risk loosing her friendship. Still, he likes her and he would like to get to know her better.

He wants to find out if they could have a serious relationship together. While they have fun together, the relationship doesn't have the emotional spark or intensity he wants in a relationship.

It is like dating a sister or a cousin. It just doesn't feel right to get emotionally involved with her. This is very frustrating because he is selective about whom he wants to date and there are not too many girls around that are acceptable to him.

She is surprised when he asks her out and she is a little nervous too. She likes him and doesn't want to hurt him. She knows that she would like to date someone but he is more like a brother than a date.

The whole thing seems a little awkward and uncomfortable. She enjoys the dating but her feelings toward him are too relaxed and casual. It just doesn't have the spark she wants in a serious relationship.

They talk things over and realize they are not really interested in each other romantically. It is still important that they be friends and get together socially but that is all.

This is an important time for him because he begins to understand what kind of girl he is attracted to. He gains an ability to recognize girls that are more suitable to him personally. Someone he has things in common with and shared interests.

This is an important time for her because she realizes her male friends are attracted to her. They do think she is likable and special. It gives her renewed self-esteem and hope that she will find that special someone.

As she dates others they both learn how to have healthy relationships with each other. They get to know each other before they decide what they will do.

Male experience:

He begins to date some of his platonic friends. While he has a good time it just doesn't work out as he would like. It is like dating his sister. There is no spark.

He does learn what type of women he is attracted to and becomes more selective in whom he dates. He wants to date someone he is comfortable with but he wants spark and passion too. He maintains his platonic friendships.

Female experience:

She is a little nervous about dating her friend. She likes him but not in that way. He is like a brother to her. Still she decides to give it a try and see how it goes. It is strange. There is no spark or passion and the dating doesn't last long but the friendship remains.

This is an important time for her because she learns that someone she likes and respects as a friend is attracted to her. It is possible for her to have a healthy relationship with someone of the opposite sex. She realizes that she is desireable and that someday she might find mister right.

He has benefited from his platonic friendships with other females. He has learned to be relaxed and comfortable around them and learned some of the things they are interested in.

He learns what they are attracted to in a man and can use that knowledge to make himself more attractive to the opposite sex. He is beginning to understand what a healthy relationship would be like.

He wishes that one of his platonic friendships would become more sexual in nature but it doesn't. This creates a slight tension in his friendships that he doesn't really know how to deal with. He would like a more serious relationship with her but she is content with things just the way they are. They are good friends and that is enough.

To her relationships have always been a roller coaster ride. At first she was on the top of the world and felt like a real queen. Everyone treated her so nice and did things for her. She actually began to believe she was as good as her dates said she was. She began to take advantage of them and abuse the relationship.

The popular men that always have to be the center of attention now annoy her. They all seem so fake and shallow. She is looking for someone with real inner strength and a strong sense of self.

He enjoys his platonic friendships with other females. He is able to feel relaxed and comfortable around them. He is starting to understand the opposite sex and what they like in a man. He is able to make himself more attractive to them and is well liked.

He is somewhat frustrated because he would like a more sexual relationship but his female friends are not really interested in serious relationships right now, at least not with him. They would rather have him as a friend than as a romantic interest.

At the time she created her own astral future she created his potential future too. He has been locked into stereotyped roles that both she and society demand he act out.

He has been trapped by how society perceives him and can't achieve his own goals. He can only achieve socially approved goals.

By absorbing more of her energy he can take that pure energy into the astral in dreams and change his future. He does this by absorbing the negative aspects into his body and replacing them with pure energy.

This is a cut and paste operation and very time consuming. It also requires tremendous amounts of energy because he is trying to alter society's expectations of him. The best he can do is to achieve his goals by following socially approved routes such as job training and work experience. He is forced to compromise.

To get more energy he socializes with other females. He has female friends he can talk to and socialize with. Dating is not important to him at this time. He is learning to conform to societies' demands and society gradually rewards him for his efforts.

She isn't dating anyone now and it is a refreshing change of pace. She is transmuting sexual energy into mental energy fairly easily and needs some male energy to combine with it. With the combined energy she can create a new future for herself that is more complete and carefully thought out than her last try.

Her best bet is to find males that can easily generate mental energy just as she can. She is looking for platonic friendships and not for romantic attachments.

As his personality and sense of self become more developed his behavior changes. Instead of acting out social roles like the football star, the cowboy, the rebel, or even the nerd, he begins to act as himself.

Just being himself is very gratifying and he isn't trying to prove anything to anyone. People can take him or leave him just as he is. He has found a source of inner strength within that no one can take from him.

He doesn't really stand out from the crowd anymore. In fact, he kind of blends into the background most of the time. If circumstances demand he will take command in an emergency but he prefers to let others have the spotlight. He feels no need to be the life of the party anymore or the center of attention.

She doesn't understand or even recognize his newfound inner strength. All she knows is that he isn't the big man and center of attention he used to be. He has become a wimp in her eyes and she despises what she sees as weakness in him.

She is ruled by her emotions at this point but beginning to transmute sexual energy into mental energy. She is beginning to realize she has been used and discarded.

By this time he has a fully developed ego and personality. He has a strong sense of who he is. The pure mental energy he has received from her combined with his own form a permanent aura.

He has learned how to control this astral energy and project it outside his body at will. This is not astral projection but mind projection. His awareness of the world is growing rapidly. He wants to understand more so he can achieve his goals in life.

His awareness can only grow by combining his energy with female energy to create controllable astral energy. He needs more female energy and is limited in whom he can get it from. He can get this energy from a female that has given him mental energy in the past. This earlier exchange of energy normally comes from someone he has dated or had a relationship with in the past.

It is possible he will have an astral encounter with someone he has never met before but this is rare. He is able to travel to her in dreams and take mental energy away from her. He dreams of her and gets energy from this dreaming.

She is helpless to prevent this. She has no ready supply of mental energy available. These unwelcome dreams are a form of psychic attack and draw very emotional responses from her as she is forced to transmute sexual and emotional energy into mental energy to replace energy he has taken.

She must replace this mental energy if she wants to keep her sanity. Otherwise she would be completely ruled by her emotions. It is not easy for her to transmute sexual energy into mental energy unless she is forced to do it.

Later she will be able to do this easily and protect herself from these attacks but she can't do this yet. For now emotions and sexual repressions she has long blocked are preventing her sexual energies from being transmuted. These repressed areas must be brought to awareness and he is helping her in this by his visits. There is much she can learn about herself from her nightmares and bad dreams.

Male experience:

His ego and sense of self are well developed and he is able to mentally project his awareness outside his body. For example, he is able to read a book and be so caught up in it that he has no awareness of what is going on around him.

Her energy helps to strengthen this ability and he travels to her in dreams and forcibly takes mental energy from her. His personality and ego are growing stronger all of the time.

Female experience:

He comes to her at night in threatening and frightening dreams. As he takes energy from her she feels repressed fears and anxieties trying to surface. These fears and anxieties must surface before she can transmute sexual energy into mental energy to replace the energy he has forcibly taken from her.

This is a time of emotional turmoil for her and she may fear physical abuse from those she has earlier rejected. She looses the ability to be objective about things and begins to react emotionally to things instead.

There is forced growth as the plant struggles to grow to full size. The Spirit planes bestow a great vision and hope to the initiate. The ashes of the initiate's past are dissolved into a growing pool of love and light energy. The initiate learns to master the emotions and love energy. The initiate is more determined than ever to succeed in his or her Quest. He or she does not care how long the journey or how difficult the road. The initiate will travel it.

He accepts they will never get back together again. Still, she has been the most important thing in his life and he thinks about her a lot. He still desires her and there is still an astral and emotional connection between them.

His desire for her is able to attract the remaining mental energy she has. She comes to him in dreams and he receives energy from her astral form. He becomes an energy vampire.

It is unlikely that she has any awareness of these astral encounters because it involves energy she is trying to get rid of anyway.

These dreams of her coming to him and giving him energy are very confusing for him because it seems that maybe she does love him after all. He may even ask her out again and be rejected again. He doesn't realize his desire is drawing her energy to him in dreams without her consent or knowledge.

He is generating more of his own mental energy and creating a need for more female energy to balance it. This new mental energy allows him to escape the emotional pain he previously was experiencing. She is an available source because she has shared this type of energy with him before and they remain linked. She is compelled to give up her mental energy to him.

As her energy combines with his it forms a creative astral energy he uses to develop his ego and his personal view of the world. He is learning from his experiences with her. He is becoming more worldly and more of an individual. His soul grows with this new mixed energy.

She is not aware of giving up mental energies because she doesn't bother to think about things any more. She wants to enjoy and live life, not think about it! Thinking is too painful because it brings up things she would rather forget.

She will do anything regardless of consequences and get away with it. She does as she pleases. She creates her future karmic load and binds herself in karmic chains. She is careless about the loss of her mental energies and seeks only new thrills and hedonistic pleasures.

Earlier she created astrally the life she wanted to live out of mental energy and deposited this energy into the astral planes. Now she thinks she is living that dream life but she really isn't. What she is doing is using up her safety reserves of creative energy.

All too soon her fantasy life will end. Her dream fantasy life is only a short term thing. She built for the short term and will have nothing left for the long term until she learns how to transmute her sexual energy into higher forms of energy. Until then she is at the mercy of everyone else capable of using these higher energies against her.

Male experience:

As his mental understanding of his relationship with her develops he gains a deep understanding of cause and effect. He understands that some occurrences are the result of many small causes and not one big one. Moral codes are imposed by man and not by God. Things are a more complex than he was led to believe. He confronts the mess he made out of things and begins to free himself. He understands the opposite sex and her rejection of him.

He still loves her and she is in his thoughts but he doesn't pursue her anymore. She comes to him in his dreams and gives him the energy he craves. He is content with this.

She wants to live life to the fullest and seeks greater thrills. She will do anything regardless of consequences and gets away with it. Moral values mean nothing to her and she creates her karmic load and burdens that she must bear in the future. She is burning bridges.

She could care less about the loss of her mental energies. She is a being of emotions and sensuality and is careless of what she does. She is living completely in the moment, experiencing physical life in its entirety and it is incredible.

She looses mental energy through astral dream experiences of an emotional and sexual nature.

In a burst of love and light the seed bursts apart and begins to grow toward the surface of the earth. This sprouting brings the rapid growth and rebirth that had been promised with the planting of the seed.

While the relationship is over he hopes she will change her mind and come back to him. He has no interest in anyone else at this point. He keeps track of her and knows whom she is dating. He watches in agony as she has fun with someone else.

It is tearing him up and he feels as if something inside is dying. He can't take the pain any more and he tells her how much he is suffering and how much he needs her to come back to him. He is starting to transmute mental energy into emotional energy and it hurts. He is putting words to his feelings.

He is not receiving much of her excess mental energy any more and his ego is suffering. Without her he is nothing. What he is needs is her emotional energy instead.

She listens to him but her excess mental energy is more than he can absorb and in fact, she thinks he is pathetic and glad she broke up with him. She is not interested in his problems. If he was a real man he would take care of them by himself.

In fact, she has a real man in mind. It will be a real challenge because all the other girls want him too. But won't they be envious when they see her with him! It will be great! First she will have to take him away from this other girl though. That shouldn't be too hard.

She cold bloodedly chooses the man she wants and does what she has to do to get him away from his girlfriend. It is more exciting to take males away from other females than it is to stay in a relationship that quickly gets stale. She can do this because mental energy rules her actions and she doesn't feel emotional remorse at this point. She is intellectual and calculating.

It makes her feel strong and important to win someone away from another female. After winning his heart she dumps him for someone even more glamorous.

He finally accepts that the relationship will never be renewed. His heart and ego have both been badly bruised or broken. Relationships with the opposite sex are like poking a raw wound. He has had enough.

From now on he will do the dumping and the using. Either that or he will avoid females completely. Now it is his turn to dump her.

The mental energy is stuck at the heart area causing pain and congestion for him. In time as he learns to transmute this energy it will go lower and become a dull emotional ache.

She is intellectual and calculating in getting the things that she desires out of her relationships. When she is finally dumped it is devastating and uses up all of her excess mental energy and she is plunged into her emotions.

Male experience:

After they breakup he feels incredible pain as if his heart has a knife thrust through it. He takes it as long as he can before going back to her and begging her to come back. The pain is so bad. He needs her. He can't live without her. He is generating emotional energy.

In time the pain becomes a dull emotional ache and he is determined to never feel that type of pain again. He becomes insensitive or immune to it and begins to take relationships more lightly. This time he will be the one to break it off.

Female experience:

After several successes she finally gets dumped. She is devastated. She feels that everyone is laughing at her. He used her! She was just a toy or ornament to him. He didn't care for her at all. All of her old fears and insecurities come back with a vengeance. This time she has made enemies and no one is feeling sorry for her at all. They feel she is getting what she deserves.

It is time for her to transmute her sexual energy into mental energy and think about what is going on in her life. If she doesn't do this things will get worse for her. She will react emotionally to those around her and drive them even further away.

The seed begins to swell and expand and the internal pressure builds to intolerable levels. The seed threatens to burst in its agony. This is a burning to ashes of all that is impure. The initiate is consumed in the fire of passion that is burning away all of the dross and leaving only the true self.

She has given him as much of her excess mental energy as he is able to absorb. He is saturated with her energy and is using it to develop his ego and sense of self.

She is also developing her ego and sense of self by actively giving up her energy and combining it with his. As in all male-female energy exchanges at first she is active in the creative process.

In fact she dominates the energy exchange by having an excess of readily available energy. She absorbs his mental energy into her physical body and at night she deposits the combined astral energy into the mental levels of the astral planes.

In the astral she creates her mental image of herself and her sense of self. She also creates the mental image or stereotyped role that he is seen as by others.

He has little control over how others perceive him at this point. When she is satisfied with the image of herself that she has created, she gives him the excess energy to store in his body.

As he receives this mental energy he uses it to create an ego and sense of self that is uniquely his. He wants to discover who he really is. As he develops his ego and sense of self he is able to generate more mental energy and to absorb more female energy. He is not satisfied with the way that others perceive him.

He is building energy channels for this type of energy within his body and his personality becomes more powerful. This energy is denser than the abstract/spiritual energy he has already mastered. This energy becomes trapped in his physical body as mental head energy or pure ego.

When she gets bored with him and wants to date others that are more exciting it is very hard on his ego. He knows he is not perfect but neither is she. He is willing to overlook her faults if she will overlook his.

She is not interested because they are no longer interested in the same things. She has already formed her ego and sense of self just the way she wants it. She is confident and sure of herself. She wants out. She feels trapped in the relationship.

She wants to go out with someone more popular. Someone that will raise her social status. Her ego is dependent upon the social popularity of whom she is dating. If she can date a real hunk it would boost her ego tremendously.

When she tries to break up with him it is really traumatic. He won't let her end the relationship. His ego is dependent upon keeping it. Her ego is dependent on ending the relationship. They quarrel bitterly. He doesn't win or get his way. He can't force her to stay in a relationship she doesn't want. All his efforts to keep her end in a vicious circle where she doesn't want anything to do with him.

Male experience:

He knows he is not perfect but he is still worth having. When she tries to end the relationship he resists and won't let her. He needs her. He can't understand why she would want to leave him. He is just beginning to feel good about himself.

In the end he must let her go. No one can hold another in a relationship they don't want to be in. He has to let her go no matter how much he needs her.

Female experience:

At first she was happy with him but as she gained confidence and became more sure of herself she realized she could do better than him. She was good enough and attractive enough to get a real hunk! She feels trapped in her current relationship and wants out.

In the end she must leave him and go after the popular male competing with other females for his attentions. Win or loose it is important she goes after whom she truly wants. She must feel that she does deserve the best in life.

Meaning- movement

Social dating is magical for him. As his mental energy combines with her mental energy the world seems to transform around him. They act as catalysts for each other and the entire world opens before them.

He becomes the philosopher's stone transmuting all he contacts. He has self control at all levels. He can do as he pleases as long as he lets her do as she pleases too. His mind is filled with the things he is going to do for her.

The entire world opens before him in a way it never did before. His awareness alters and he sees the world from a mental perspective that is more objective. He is more realistic about things and understands what must be done if he wants to achieve his goals and dreams in life.

He understands she is responsible for his change in perspective. He feels she somehow brings out the best in him. He wants more of her energy. He wants as much as he can absorb.

Unfortunately he can only absorb an amount equal to the amount of mental energy he generates. He is limited in how much spiritual/light he can transmute into mental energy. He is not used to doing this and the proper energy channels have not yet been developed.

His personal belief system is not yet developed and he borrows from that of society. He tries to modify society's rules and expectations to fit his own. In other words, he tries to be what society wants him to be and not whom he wants to be. He conforms to societies wishes and to her wishes.

As she dates him she gets to know the person he really is and senses the lack of originality he presents. She can tell he is not being true to his own inner nature. This makes him boring to her. She is more interested in males that stand out from the crowd and are more original. She is drawn to those with strong personalities and egos.

She has an excess of energy and it is exciting for her to be daring and date those that stand out from the crowd. She wants him to stand out from the crowd. By making him feel important she makes herself feel important too. She is actively feeding his inflated image of himself. He willingly takes her energy and adoration and at first this makes her feel good too. She tries to get him to take more risks and become more
adventurous.

This is very exciting for him and soon he is moving in circles that he never did before. He is more popular and interesting. He takes her energy for granted. After all, he is now very popular with the girls and others are after him too. He decides to stop seeing her. She is his first conquest.

His rejection is very hard for her to accept. She has done and given so much. She has sacrificed her love and mental energy to him and he has rejected her. Life has become a grim and deathless task. She feels she has been used and has heavy feelings of guilt and unworthiness. He was her first love and he betrayed her.

She was open with him and serious about the relationship for the first time in her life. Other males had convinced her that she was desirable and sexy. Now all that old confidence was gone and she was confronting all of her secret fears and shames. This is an important time of self realization. He did not want to be around her any more.

She must realize that in spite of her personal flaws and handicaps she is still a desirable and sexy female. He has a grossly inflated ego and is a very shallow person.

Male experience:

When he is dating her, he sees the world in an entirely new and exciting way. Her energy transforms his life and his concept of self and self-worth begins to develop.

It is difficult for him to generate enough mental energy to develop a complete concept of self. Instead he adopts a stereotyped "role" that he plays instead.

If the role he adopts is unusual he will stand out from his peers and attract more than his share of attention, good or bad. This attention will draw more female energy toward him and help in the process of ego development.

Female experience:

As she dates she becomes bored with the average male and is drawn toward those that seem more exciting to her. She is attracted to individuals that stand out from the crowd and gives them her energy.

Her attention may be positive or it may be negative. She may tease and ridicule someone cruelly or she may fall in love with someone and want to be with them all the time.

In the end she becomes one of many that give away energy to that particular individual. He becomes personally indifferent to her and this is very hard on her ego. He will seem to have more of a sense of self than she does. She feels that somehow she has lost and he has won.

In the Tarot the suit of Swords represents mental energy and the element of Air. This energy is not easily available and must be transmuted from spiritual energy by the male and from sexual energy or earth energy by the female. In this the male has the initial advantage because the energy only needs to be transmuted once. The female must transmute this energy first into emotional energy and then into mental energy. This is more difficult at first.

Another way of saying this is that males tend to be more mental in daily life and females tend to be more emotional. This is a stereotype that is not always true but persists with good reason.

The bottom line is that if you don't use your mind enough it will go flat. Learn something new every day and solve some type of challenge. It will keep your mind young and healthy.

On the flip side of the coin, after you are very clear in your thoughts and in what you believe it is time to move on and realize them through personal experience. Don't think about it. Do it!

There are two types of mental energy. The highest type of mental energy is philosophical reasoning and abstract thought. This energy is developed through philosophical debate. Politics and Religion remain the most popular areas for the development of this type of energy. Problem solving and mathematical skills are also related to this type of energy.

The lower type of mental energy concerns simple awareness of our environment. Look more, hear more, taste more, feel more, smell more! This is tied in with ego development and conscious interaction with our physical environment.

Meaning- realization

He experiences the bittersweet union of pleasure and pain in his life and knows he is making progress in his spiritual goals. As he gains the ability to transmute spiritual energy into mental energy he absorbs more and more of her volatile spiritual energy to mix with his own.

As he stores this combined energy in his body his energy level increases and he realizes he is sexually attracted to her. This energy has no outlet and his sexual tension and frustration is very great. He feels ready to explode.

This is an important time for him because he confronts his own sexuality and physical needs for the first time. He realizes he is a physical being as well as a spiritual one and struggles to unite these two parts of himself into one harmonious whole.

As she gains the ability to transmute sexual energy into spiritual energy she is able to maintain her high level of spiritual thought and ideals. She continues to combine this newly transmuted energy with male energy that she absorbs daily. During sleep she is able to deposit this high level astral energy safely in the astral planes.

The high level astral energy ensures that her future life events will always be controlled by spiritual forces. She can create the type of life she chooses. She astrally creates both her life events and those of the male whose energy she is sharing. She does this for both of them.

She mixes these life events with the collective events of society . The events combine to create the motivating force that directs all physical events. These things must happen in the astral before they can happen in the physical.

The male has the ability to travel astrally and alter his future or someone else's by exchanging one type of energy with another type of energy. For example, he may wish to alter a potential negative event before it happens. While dreaming he astrally confronts the negative event and exchanges positive astral energy for the negative astral energy.

This corrects the potential event and he absorbs the negative energy back into his body. He works with this negative energy until he is able to transmute it and store it within his body safely as an energy resource.

Fortunately, once a person knows how to transmute energy properly they can absorb and transmute this negative energy as easily and harmlessly as their own energy.

Male experience:

As he transmutes both male and female spiritual energies into mental energy he becomes acutely aware of his sexuality. He becomes sexually attracted to her. He has no outlet for this increased energy and sexual tension and frustration result.

As she transmutes her sexual energy into spiritual energy she is struggling to regain her spirituality. She feels pulled into sensuality and worldly pleasures. She longs for these things but fears entrapment in them. She feels social pressures are confining and preventing her from having a good time.

She feels like a Goddess and has total control over her life at this point. She does what she feels like doing. She communicates easily with others and has both innocence and perceptiveness. She is irresistibly drawn toward sexuality and the God in a physical body.

He not only has to transmute his spiritual energy into sexual energy, he has to transmute hers as well because they have combined to form astral energy. First he must learn to transmute it into mental energy.

Before he can do this he must confront not only his inner fears and insecurities but hers as well. After he can look in the mirror and say, "You are lovable in spite of your faults", he will realize she rejected him for her own reasons and her own insecurities. She was not rejecting him as a person but rejecting her capacity to have a serious relationship with anyone.

He is finally able to realize she was not ready to have a serious relationship with anyone yet, she just wanted to have fun. After admitting he has made a fool of himself he is ready to date other girls. He now has a greater sensitivity and mental understanding of females. He is ready to date for companionship and fun without insisting upon a serious relationship.

Realizing she has her own insecurities and fears about relationships, he learns the importance of telling her that she is beautiful. How important it is to support her in the things she is trying to do. He helps her to believe in herself and in her ability to achieve her dreams.

As she struggles to transmute her sexual energy into spiritual energy she confronts her feelings of guilt and unworthiness. She realizes she has been hurting others and using them for her own pleasure. It had been so easy and fun. He brought her everything and treated her special. No one had ever done that before.

Her conscience begins to bother her and she begins to think about a more serious relationship. She dreads hurting someone by breaking off a relationship even if she is not happy in it. She doesn't want to hurt him anymore.

She wants to make him happy and knows she can if she tries. She makes herself beautiful both physically and spiritually.

Male experience:

He confronts his own limitations. Heavy feelings of guilt and unworthiness are encountered. He is exposed to his greatest weaknesses and embarrassments in his efforts to understand her rejection of him. Finally he realizes he is lovable. If she rejected him it must be insecurities and weaknesses on her part.

He is stunned by the realization that his Goddess is human and suffers from the same fears and insecurities he does. It never occurred to him that maybe she just wasn't ready for a serious relationship, that maybe she needed to be told she was beautiful.

She dresses up for him and begins to do things for him. She begins to feel beautiful and loved. It is a powerful feeling to realize someone really cares about her.

His ego is identifying with his physical body but his growing psychic awareness is in conflict with his conscious awareness. He will never find anyone that understands him so perfectly.

Gradually he comes to terms with her rejection of him and his emotional/spiritual wounds begin to heal.

Instinctively she knows there is still a powerful connection between them and he is draining her of energy. She experiences a fearful struggle to maintain any spiritual life at all. He is convinced he is in love with her and she is his soulmate. No one else understands him as she understands him. All his time is caught up in daydreams about her. Things get so bad between them that they break up. He takes breaking up very hard and lives in a formless darkness. There is no desire or lust for life without her. He is detached from his surroundings and even from himself exploring the dark areas of his soul. He accepts her rejection because he knows he is unworthy of her. She is and always will be a Goddess to him.

If he could find out what is so bad maybe he could correct it and win back her love. This inward effort plunges him into confrontation with his own personal demons and weaknesses. It is an important time for learning who and what he really is. In time he learns to accept his own shortcomings and personal limitations.

After dating several different males she discovers it is not as fun as it used to be. Her excess spiritual energy is almost gone and things are not the same. She realizes the males she dates are all pretty nice people and she is hurting them by taking them so lightly. They all want the relationship to become more serious. This time day dreaming is a lower energy and the experience is different. He is still obsessed with her but something has changed. He doesn't understand why she won't return his love. He is exposed to the dark side of her personality. She is not the angel he thought she was.

Inner doubts and fears gain strength and his relationship with her becomes an abomination of horror and madness as everything goes wrong. Nothing is familiar and safe. Nothing is sacred. She doesn't feel the same way about him as he feels about her.

Feeling the relationship is threatened and desperate to hold it together he intrudes more and more into her private life making a nuisance of himself. He is trying to bring her back to him.

The sparks really fly between the sexes at this stage and everyone is very unexperienced with sharing this energy and excitement. Puppy love always is greater than real life and we are always afraid it is too good to be true. There is a lot of anxiety knowing that the relationship is build upon sparks and not upon solid realistic sharing.
Each feels unworthy and acutely aware of their own short comings. The male is forced to work through these feelings and confront them completely. He is the first to learn humility.

In relationships the first energy to be exchanged is volatile spiritual energy. This energy is the most abstract and idealistic. Here the male and female share deeply held religious beliefs and their visions of the perfect life, the perfect partner, ...ect. This is puppy love at its most extreme. There is static electricity everywhere when these two get together.

His energy merges with her energy to form astral constructs of these idealizations. In effect, he shares his most secret dreams and beliefs with her and she understands him perfectly. This exchange is very powerful because the mutual understanding is so intense.

This is the first exchange of energy between the male and the female as they are drawn toward each other. We feel shy, modest and vulnerable in our first encounters with the opposite sex. We are drawn toward the opposite sex but we don't know if we can trust. We don't want to be hurt.

Male and female energy is generated and stored within our physical bodies. It disperses itself through the body via the nervous system and circulatory system. As this energy moves throughout the body it becomes bio-electrical energy, nerve energy, sexual energy, emotional energy, mental energy, and spiritual energy.

In our encounters with the opposite sex Spiritual energy is the most volatile and the first type of energy to be exchanged. This exchange of energy can be done simply by being in the same room as the other person. We feel this energy transfer as an attraction. It is an energy exchange and there is an energy flow that is noticable.

Our physical bodies are capacitive in nature and will store a charge of male or female energy in the same way a battery will store a positive or negative charge. We store the energy that flows to us or the other person gets our energy and stores it.

During sleep this "captured" energy is blended with our own and released from the physical body through dreams. Collectively we call this combined sex energy "Astral" energy.

Astral energy is a perfect mix of male and female energy blended together. It remains connected to our physical bodies and a connection remains to the person we have exchanged energy with. This blended energy is controllable and gives us a sense of being more complete.We are drawn to this person because their energy makes us feel more complete.

Even though both sexes exchange energy and store it within their physical bodies there are major differences in how this actually happens. The male uses this blended energy to create and strengthen "self" or his non physical body. The female uses this blended energy to create a rich "astral" environment. The astral environment is our dreaming environment.

He instinctively recognizes her taking his energy as emptiness and death to him. If all of his energy went to her it would mean death of awareness as he knows it. He feels himself being drawn into her and part of him fears this. At the same time part of him longs for this.

In this first experience his energy flows to her and hers does not flow to him. He gives her energy even though he fears what it might do to him. For the first time he confronts the power of raw sexuality, both his and hers. She is and always will be the angel of death to him as she takes his energy. This is part of her "Goddess" power.

As he gives her energy he realizes "outer" and "inner" realities are intimately connected. His dreams become vivid and he feels emotions that are not familiar or pleasant. His rational outlook falters and he is uncertain where he stands.

He confronts his own feelings of guilt and unworthiness. He is brought face to face with his worst fears and demons. The pits of hell open before him.

Female experience:

She gives all she has to others without thought of self or personal gain. She experiences selfless giving and aspires to spiritual goals. She is the completion and end of all things. She is emptiness. Nature is bountiful and there is enough for everyone. Everything has its place and all is good. While he is thinking of her she is thinking of everyone else.

She is recieving energy from him and in control. She enjoys his attention. She should be aware that in male-female relationships the energy transfer will at some point change and she will loose energy to him. One day she will be at a male's mercy. She will then give to him as she has recieved. The balance must be fullfilled.

This is the starting point for love. The Ace of Wands represents the new born male and female child. They have not yet met in a meaningful way. The union represented by this card is the union and harmony of the universe itself. The universe exists in harmony even if we can not sense that natural harmony. The world is right and the world is perfect. There is nothing that needs to be changed. We are born into this world in a balanced way.

The male and female experience life very differently. The male regenerates energy by tapping into photon or light energy and the female regenerates her energy by tapping into the atomic and molecular energies of physical matter. From a sexual point of view the male is constantly generating and loosing sperm. The female is born with all the eggs she will carry the rest of her life. These differences are profound in their effect on each of us.

The old nursery rhyme tells us, "drums and snails and puppy dog tails, that's what little boys are made of. Sugar and spice and everything nice, that's what little girls are made of." The physical body we are born into determines many of our life experiences.

This difference between the sexes is also a difference in polarity. It attracts the male and female together for an energy exchange and attempts to balance and neutralize the inequalities between each of them. Our souls may be both male and female but our physical bodies are not.

When these two meet it is "Puppy Love"! Each can see the God and Goddess in the other. They don't really see the real person. In that sense this card represents Spiritual Love.

In the Tarot the suit of Wands represents spiritual energy and the element fire. Fire has always been a symbol of light and passion. This energy comes to us through inspiration and illumination.

It is an extremely abstract form of thought that is beyond the normal intellect but still valid. It is the energy of the God and Goddess that resides within each of us.Spiritual energy is extremely volatile and is the first energy that is exchanged normally between the male and the female. It has to do with the vague and general stereotypes that we have of the opposite sex. This is when we worship the person we fall in love with.

This is also called "Puppy Love". We are in love with the idea of being in love and not really in love with our partner. We worship them but don't really know them.

This sharing of energy follows a pattern that sets the tone for the other suits as well.

The Tarot Deck

The traditional tarot deck has several divisions within it. Perhaps the most well known are the trump cards. There are twenty two trumps in the traditional deck. Each one represents a path or life experience that must be encountered on the mystical path back to "Source" or "God/dess". They represent forces of destiny that are cosmic in nature and beyond human influence.

In the OAK:Tarot of Love and Romance deck the trump cards represent much more than this. They represent how we discover and integrate the masculine and feminine aspects we each have within us. They are symbolic images of the attainment of spiritual, psychological, emotional and mental health.

Said in another way these trumps symbolize how we gradually learn to love ourselves. This is vitally important because how can we love someone else if we can not love ourselves? First we love others because we find in them things we would like to find in ourselves but can't. We feel those we love complete us. As we grow and mature we come to recognize those same characteristics in ourselves. This process of self discovery is what the Trumps are about.

The rest of the deck is divided into four suits. Traditionally these are Wands, Swords, Cups, and Pentacles. These four suits represent spirit, intellect, emotion, and physical life. They also represent mundane life experiences easily recognized and within our power to change.

In the OAK:Tarot of Love and Romance I've chosen to use Wands, Swords, Cups, and Pentacles respectively for the same purpose. In this deck we use each suit to explore Spiritual love, Platonic love, Emotional love and Physical love between the male and the female.

These four suits are known as the "Minor Arcana" and the trumps are known as the "Major Arcana". The Minor Arcana are the tarot cards we most identify with and we will begin with the suit of Wands or Spiritual Love.

The four suits are further divided into Court Cards and number cards. The Court Cards represent personality types we might recognize. In tarot readings a Court card is usually chosen to represent the individual asking for a reading. You might recognize yourself in one of these Court cards or you might recognize parts of yourself in all of them!

Lastly the descriptions given in this book describe how a male might experience the card and how a female might experience the card. I've done this for stylistic purposes. For example, if I say a card represents a male placing a female upon a pedestal I am describing how one person in a relationship might place the other on a pedestal. I don't mean only males place females upon pedestals. I'm simply trying to describe an energy dynamic that is taking place between two people involved in a love relationship and how each might respond.

I've been struggling with something for a long time now and have finally made up my mind about it. You see, the trouble is that I believe everyone must find their own way and discover their own truth especially in the area of love and romance. Things are simply not as they seem at times.

This is especially true in the area of modern survivalism where the social pressure is to become dependant on external authorities and not upon our own inner resources. Love and Romance are vital survival issues because life is simply not worth living if we are alone. We live for our interactions with others.

This book on love and romance will deal with the occult or hidden reality that we find ourselves in every day as we interact with those that we love and those that we may hate. I ask that you ponder and study each tarot card as it is explored and see if it is a part of your truth as well as mine. Trust nothing on faith and keep only those things that are true for you.

FESTIVAL OF JOY- (Summer solstice)
1st Quarter

This is the middle of the flowering cycle in nature and the beginning of Summer.

She has given away her excess spiritual energy to several males. She is still capable of generating this energy by transmuting her sexual energy into spiritual energy but this is difficult at first and she resists doing it.

She is drawn to the male in her dreams even though she is not dating him any more. His desire for her is so intense it pulls her to him as a moth to a flame. The astral connection once created is not easily broken. During this dream contact more of her spiritual energy is given to the male. She has no control over this. This energy exchange deplletes her and forces her to transmute her sexual energy into spiritual energy.

This action of transmuting sexual energy into spiritual energy opens up important energy channels within her physical body and her nervous system. It ensures she retains the ability to operate at the highest spiritual levels. If these channels remain blocked she would gradually lose the ability to think abstractly and would feel a loss of her spiritual self.

The male generates energy from light energy and stores it within his body. To do this he learns how to transmute light energy into sexual energy. It must be transmuted first into spiritual energy, then into mental energy, then into emotional energy, then into nerve energy and finally into sexual energy.

The process of doing this opens up important energy centers within his body and his nervous system. At first this is difficult and he resists fiercely by living entirely in his head with his abstract thoughts and spiritual ideals.

If you think about something long enough you will get emotional about it. If you get emotional enough about something you will be compelled into action to do something about it. This is the process he must now go through.

It is vital that he open these blocked channels if he wants to actualize his dreams into physical reality. If he doesn't he will remain caught up in wild ideas and schemes that have no chance at becoming reality. He must anchor this volatile energy at the earth level, the sexual level.

Male experience:

He can't get her out of his mind. She comes to him in his dreams. She haunts every part of his waking life. He is frustrated and angry at himself, her, and at the world for being the way it is.

His ego is identifying with his physical body but his growing psychic awareness is in conflict with his conscious awareness. His conscious awareness is telling him to let her go and find someone else. His psychic awareness is telling him he will never find anyone else like her. He will never find anyone that understands him so perfectly.

Gradually he comes to terms with her rejection of him and his emotional/spiritual wounds begin to heal.

Female experience:

She is determined to forget him and the others she has dated. In spite of her efforts she is pulled to him in her dreams. Instinctively she knows there is still a powerful connection between them and he is draining her of energy. She experiences a fearful struggle to maintain any spiritual life at all. She feels as if she is loosing her virtue and being dragged down into materialism and sensuality against her will. He is somehow making her feel dirty.

By transmuting her sexual energy into spiritual energy she learns how to deal with this energy exchange effortlessly and retain her spiritual connection.

He is convinced he is in love with her and she is his soulmate. No one else understands him as she understands him. All his time is caught up in daydreams about her. He could not imagine life without her and can't understand her rejection of him.

He takes breaking up very hard and lives in a formless darkness. There is no desire or lust for life without her. He is detached from his surroundings and even from himself exploring the dark areas of his soul. He accepts her rejection because he knows he is unworthy of her. She is and always will be a Goddess to him.

If he could find out what is so bad maybe he could correct it and win back her love. This inward effort plunges him into confrontation with his own personal demons and weaknesses. It is an important time for learning who and what he really is. In time he learns to accept his own shortcomings and personal limitations.

After dating several different males she discovers it is not as fun as it used to be. Her excess spiritual energy is almost gone and things are not the same. She realizes the males she dates are all pretty nice people and she is hurting them by taking them so lightly. They all want the relationship to become more serious. She just wants to have a good time.

No matter how careful she chose her dates they eventually spoil it by wanting a serious relationship with her. It becomes harder to get out of relationships once she gets into them. There no more innocence as she experiences the darker side of the male's frustration. They begin to pressure her into staying in relationships with them.

She feels both sorrow and apprehension in a hostile and threatening world. He won't leave her alone! She can't get rid of him! She never meant to hurt him or anyone else.

Male experience:

He takes her rejection very hard. He thinks he is loosing his soulmate and will do anything to prevent that from happening. He hopes to convince her to change her mind and accept him again. When this fails he turns inside himself to discover what went wrong and to find out what makes him unlovable. He explores and confronts his personal fears and comes to terms with them.

Female experience:

She doesn't want to hurt him but he is a real bore, so serious all the time and wanting to get more deeply involved. That is the last thing that she wants. All she wants to do is have fun and enjoy life. There is plenty of time later for a serious relationship. She dates others but they are all the same, they all want more than just to have a good time. It gets harder to say "no" and she can't get rid of them as easily as she once could.

This is the end of natures leafing cycle and the end of the water initiation.
It is the beginning of natures flowering cycle and the beginning of the Air initiation.

Her excess spiritual energy is too much for him to absorb quickly. like her, there is a point when he becomes filled up and saturated. After all, she has a large amount stored up from birth. He can only absorb a little at a time.

He needs to create a surplus of his own male energy to balance her energy. He only knows how to do this by day dreaming and that is not working any more. This time day dreaming is a lower energy and the experience is different. Something has changed. He doesn't understand why she won't return his love. He is exposed to the dark side of her personality. She is not the angel he thought she was.

Inner doubts and fears gain strength and his relationship with her becomes an abomination of horror and madness. Nothing is familiar and safe. Nothing is sacred.

Feeling the relationship is threatened and desperate to hold it together he intrudes more and more into her private life making a nuisance of himself.

They are forced into spiritual growth.

When they first began to exchange this volatile spiritual energy they jointly create astral constructs of the ideal life. These constructs are deposited in the astral planes and become potential events.

When she feels satisfied that she knows what she wants, she decides to go out and get it just the way they envisioned it together. She goes on without him since he just daydreams all the time. She feels she no longer needs her excess spiritual energy and simply gives it to him as pure energy. This means the flow is for the first time from her to him.

He stores her excess spiritual energy within his body. His energy level goes up and he becomes blindly intoxicated with her. This energy completely fills him and he walks on clouds. He looses intellectual objectivity.

As he integrates her energy his intuitive powers become activated and he receives spiritual insights and psychic experiences that confirm she is the perfect mate for him.

Male experience:

The Spirit levels merge in a baptism that marks the beginning of the 1st degree initiation for the Probationer. They have their first realization of the Christ Spirit in the joining of male and female energies within themselves. They feel hopelessly in love.

As her supply of volatile abstract/spiritual energy leaves she attempts to live out her fantasy life by becoming active in altruistic activities. If he isn't ready yet she will go on without him. Life is for living.

He is in love with love and thinks he is in love with her. He is obsessed with her and his romantic fantasies are more real than she is. He lives entirely in his head. He sees nothing, hears nothing, says nothing. All his energy is caught up in his obsession. Worldly affairs and relationships suffer because they seem vague and unreal to him.

Male experience:

His romantic fantasies are more real than she is. In his daydreams he finds joy and peace. He doesn't care about worldly affairs or friendships with others and they suffer. He sees her loosing interest in him and all his energy goes into making her exclusively his. He feels fear and apprehension at the possibility of loosing her. He is obsessed with her.

She offers herself to everyone without thought of self or personal gain. All she wants is to live her fantasy. She is only compassion and feeling for others as she helps them.

This is the middle of natures germination cycle, the beginning of winter, and the probation period in the initiatic cycle.

If we are ready this is the birth of the Christ Spirit within our souls. God\dess's love and light are sent into the world and divided among those ready to receive it. The probationer grows in spiritual knowledge and power. As they prepare for initiation they confront for the first time the "terror on the threshold".

They feel unworthy and acutely aware of their own short comings. The probationer is forced to work through these feelings and confront them completely. They learn humility.

In relationships the first energy to be exchanged is volatile spiritual energy. This energy is the most abstract and idealistic. Here the male and female share deeply held religious beliefs and their visions of the perfect life, the perfect partner, ...ect.

His energy merges with her energy to form astral constructs of these idealizations. In effect, he shares his most secret dreams and beliefs with her and she understands him perfectly. This exchange is very powerful because the mutual understanding is so intense.

This harmony can't last because as a male he has an unlimited supply of this spiritual/abstract energy. Her supply is limited to the amount that she was given at birth and stores in her body. At some point she will run out of this spiritual energy and rather than transform her pure sexual energy into spiritual energy, she will loose interest in long abstract discussions with him. He will wear her out and bore her with his endless talk about dreams and fantasies.

At some point he must learn to transform his abstract/spiritual energy into mental energy. He must seriously think about how to achieve his idealistic goals and dreams.

Male experience:

He shares his greatest dreams and aspirations with her and she understands him! This is an incredible experience and he is likely to think they were meant for each other because this mutual understanding is so intense.

This is the first exchange of energy between the male and the female as they are drawn toward each other. We feel shy, modest and vulnerable in our first encounters with the opposite sex. We are drawn toward each other but we don't know if we can trust. We don't want to be hurt.

Male and female energy is generated and stored within our physical bodies. It disperses itself throughout the body via the nervous system and circulatory system. As this energy moves throughout the body it becomes bio-electrical energy, nerve energy, sexual energy, emotional energy, mental energy, and spiritual energy.

In our encounters with the opposite sex Spiritual energy is the most volatile and the first type of energy to be exchanged. This exchange of energy can be done simply by being in the same room as the other person. We feel this energy transfer as an attraction. It is an energy exchange and there is an energy flow that is noticable.

Our physical bodies are capacitive in nature and will store a charge of male or female energy in the same way a battery will store a positive or negative charge. We store the energy that flows to us or the other person gets our energy.

During sleep this "captured" energy is released from the physical body through dreams. Collectively we call this opposite sex energy "Astral" energy.

Astral energy is a perfect mix of male and female energy blended together. It remains connected to our physical bodies and a connection remains to the person we have exchanged energy with. This blended energy is controllable and gives us a sense of being more complete.We are drawn to this person because their energy makes us feel more complete.

Even though both exchange energy and store it within their physical bodies there are major differences in how this actually happens. The male uses this blended energy to create and strengthen "self" or his non physical body. The female uses this blended energy to create a rich "astral" environment. Male experience:

He instinctively recognizes her taking his energy as emptiness and death to him. If all of his energy went to her it would mean death of awareness as he knows it. He feels himself being drawn into her and part of him fears this. At the same time part of him longs for this.

In this first experience his energy flows to her and hers does not flow to him. He gives her energy even though he fears what it might do to him. For the first time he confronts the power of raw sexuality, both his and hers. She is and always will be the angel of death to him as she takes his energy.

The Ace of Keys governs the three days after full moon until the Last Quarter. It marks the end of the fruiting cycle and the end of the fire initiation in the yearly cycle.

This is the beginning of the germination cycle, the beginning of winter and the beginning of the initiation of earth and the earth energies.

Here is the first joining of male and female energies as the old fruit is given to the earth in total surrender. This is the planting of the seed.

Alchemically this happens on the Magical planes near the earth as they merge together to accept the new seed in its entirety. It is the natural beginning of the Initiation cycle as the probationer takes the first step on a spiritual journey of learning about love and relationships.

This is the starting point for love. The Ace of Keys represents the new born male and female child. They have not yet met in a meaningful way. The union represented by this card is the union and harmony of the universe itself. The universe exists in harmony even if we can not sense that natural harmony. The world is right and the world is perfect. There is nothing that needs to be changed. We are born into this world.

The male and female experience life very differently. The male regenerates his energy by tapping into photon or light energy and the female regenerates her energy by tapping into the atomic and molecular energies of physical matter.

The old nursery rhyme tells us, "drums and snails and puppy dog tails, that's what little boys are made of". "Sugar and spice and everything nice, that's what little girls are made of". The physical body we are born into determines many of our life experiences.

This difference between the sexes is also a difference in polarity. It attracts the male and female together for an energy exchange and attempts to balance and neutralize the inequalities between each of them.

Ace of Keys

Male experience:

The Ace of Keys symbolizes light/electricity bursting through the barriers of old ideas. Conscious awareness and intuitive awareness are one and the same. Here is the spiritual experience of being at one with God or the Cosmic.

The boy child has the experience of becoming part of all things and finding his true destiny in play and nature.

The King of Keys has attained to the highest levels of spiritual accomplishment and is one of the guiding forces of the "collective soul" of humanity. He is a spiritual teacher. His body of light or soul body is highly developed has attained cosmic consciousness or oneness with the universe.

Illuminations have caused him to trust the voice of his own conscience more than mental reasoning and his physical body is extremely vital with life energy.

He is adept in emergency situations and able to keep his head when other's are losing theirs. His training allows him to rapidly escape old behavior patterns and develop new ways of doing things. In the Tarot the suit of Keys represents spiritual energy and the element fire. Fire has always been a symbol of light and passion. This energy comes to us through inspiration and illumination. It is an extremely abstract form of thought that is beyond the normal intellect but still valid. It is the energy of the God and Goddess that resides within each of us.
Spiritual energy is extremely volatile and is the first energy that is exchanged normally between the male and the female. It has to do with the vague and general stereotypes that we have of the opposite sex. This is when we worship the person we fall in love with.

Introduction Part 2-The Tarot deck

The traditional tarot deck has several divisions within it. Perhaps the most well known are the trump cards. There are twenty two trumps in the traditional deck. Each one represents a path or life experience that must be encountered on the mystical path back to "Source" or "God/dess". They represent forces of destiny that are cosmic in nature and scope and beyond human influence.

In the OAK:Tarot of Love and Romance deck the trump cards represent much more than this. They represent how we discover and integrate the masculine and feminine aspects that we each have within us. They are symbolic images of the attainment of spiritual, psychological, emotional and mental health.

Said in another way these trumps symbolize how we gradually learn to love ourselves. This is vitally important because how can we love someone else if we can not love ourselves? First we love others because we find in them things that we would like to find in ourselves but can't. We feel that those we love complete us in some way. As we grow and mature in a healthy way we come to recognize those same characteristics in ourselves. This process of self discovery is what the Trumps are about.

The rest of the deck is divided into four suits. Traditionally these are Wands, Swords, Cups, and Pentacles. These four suits represent spirit, intellect, emotion, and physical life. They also represent mundane life experiences that are easily recognized and within our power to change.

In the OAK:Tarot of Love and Romance I've chosen to use Keys, Swords, Cups, and Locks respectively for the same purpose. Keys and Locks indicate a close relationship between the two that is not evident when using Wands and Pentacles. In this deck we use each suit to explore Spiritual love, Platonic love, Emotional love and Physical love between the male and the female.

These four suits are known as the "Minor Arcana" and the trumps are known as the "Major Arcana". The Minor Arcana are the tarot cards that we can most identify with and we will begin with the suit of Keys or Spiritual Love.

The four suits are further divided into Court Cards and number cards. The Court Cards represent personality types that we might recognize. In tarot readings a Court card is usually chosen to represent the individual that is asking for a reading. You might recognize yourself in one of these Court cards or you might recognize parts of yourself in all of them!

Lastly the descriptions given in this book describe how a male might experience the card and how a female might experience the card. I've done this for stylistic purposes. For example, if I say that a card represents a male placing a female upon a pedestal I am describing how one person in a relationship might place the other on a pedestal. I don't mean that only males place females upon pedestals. I'm simply trying to describe an energy dynamic that is taking place between two people involved in a love relationship and how each might respond.

OAK: Tarot of Love and Romance-Introduction

I've been struggling with something for a long time now and have finally made up my mind about it. You see, the trouble is that I believe everyone must find their own way and discover their own truth especially in the area of love and romance. Things are simply not as they seem at times.

This book on love and romance will deal with the occult or hidden reality that we find ourselves in every day as we interact with those that we love and those that we may hate. I ask that you ponder and study each tarot card as it is explored and see if it is a part of your truth as well as mine. Trust nothing on faith and keep only those things that are true for you.

Most of all I hope that this book can help you to understand how love and romance works in your life.
